Carlos holds a Law Degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1997), did his Legal Practice at the Centro de Formación de Abogados de Madrid and his Real Estate Law practice at the Escuela de Práctica Jurídica de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He holds a Master's Degree in Urban Law, Planning and Management from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid (2001). He also completed a 2-year PhD in Public Law at the Complutense University of Madrid. Carlos is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
After being Partner in charge of the public law department of DS-OVSLAW and in charge of the training of lawyers, he joined Larrauri & Martí Abogados as partner for the development of the Administrative Law and Real Estate area.
His professional practice specialises in public law, urban planning, real estate and registry law, covering the fields of administrative sanctioning law, public procurement, urban management, expropriations, water law, concessions, immatriculations and regularisation of estates, actions related to ownership and other real rights over real estate.
He has extensive professional experience in the field of corporate restructuring and M&A operations, advising on both commercial and litigation matters. He is a legal advisor to various companies, providing direct support to their management bodies in their day-to-day management, in the real estate, construction, water, transport, graphic arts, education, leisure, public works, agri-food and family assets sectors.
Carlos has recently been selected by his colleagues to be included in the 27th edition of The Best Lawyers for his work in Real Estate, where he had already been included in 2020.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
He is an honorary collaborator of the Department of Administrative Law at the Complutense University of Madrid. He has been an associate lecturer in Administrative Law (Public Law Department) at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, lecturer on the Master's Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, Colegio de Procuradores de Madrid, in collaboration with the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid and speaker at various lectures and conferences organised by private entities for the training of legal professions and operators in different sectors.
